PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Crawford Town Board will hold a special meeting for the purpose of setting a public hearing for the 2024 Budget and 2024 Water Sewer Benefit Assessment Rolls and anything else that may come before the Board on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Crawford Town Hall, 121 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York.

The Town of Crawford will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Town Clerk.

The October Town Board meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 26, 2023.

The Town of Crawford will be accepting bids for the following project in the Town. The deadline for submitting bids is Friday September 29, 2023 at 10 am.

Prepare laneway (3720sqft) with 3” of stone sub base item 4 stone. Pave driveway with 3” of type 3 asphalt binder. Compact asphalt with smooth drum vibratory power rollers and power plate compactors, tamp edge for strength and straightness. Connect driveway with smooth transition to adjacent lots. Pitch for proper runoff. Location is at the end of Holland Avenue.

NOTICE OF HEARING

COMBINED INCORPORATION AND CONSOLIDATION PETITION

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of Crawford, New York, a petition entitled “Combined Petition for a Consolidated Town of Crawford.” This petition seeks to incorporate a new Village of Crawford, which boundaries will be coterminous with the entire boundaries of the Town of Crawford. The newly incorporated Village of Crawford will then be simultaneously consolidated with the existing Town of Crawford to create the consolidated Town of Crawford.

PUBLIC NOTICE is given that the Town of Crawford Town Supervisor will conduct a public hearing upon the incorporation part of such petition on September 21, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall, 121 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York 12566. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider the legal sufficiency of the incorporation part of the petition, and any objections to the legal sufficiency of such petition must be in writing and signed by one or more of the residents of the Town of Crawford; and that any group of persons having one or more objections in common may make designation in writing and be signed by at least one, but not more than three persons, giving full names and addresses of those persons on whom all papers required to be served in connection with the proceeding for incorporation shall be served. The majority of such designees must reside in the Town of Crawford.

A complete copy of the petition is available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office at the above address until and after the date of such hearing.

This program is funded by Orange County Solutions through the Orange County Youth Bureau and runs for eight Tuesdays (September 12-October 31) from 4-4:45pm in the Exercise Room of the Town of Crawford Government Center.  Space is limited.
